Brown & James welcomes 15 new associates

Fifteen new attorneys joined the Missouri offices of Brown & James, P.C. as part of its fall class of associates.

“The firm is poised for growth in our regional footprint of Missouri and Illinois,” said T. Michael Ward, Brown & James managing principal. “Our new associates will help us better serve the expanding needs of our clients. We’re excited to welcome such an outstanding group of young lawyers to the firm.”

Jared Brown practices in the area of insurance law in the St. Louis office. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law and was a business owner for 14 years. Mr. Brown was an intern for the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office and a clerk at a law firm.

Ryan Campbell practices in the areas of insurance law, arson and fraud litigation, and product liability in the St. Louis office. He is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law. His prior legal experience includes serving as counsel at a law firm and as a Rule 13 Attorney at the Saint Louis University School of Law, Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic.

Joseph Carnduff practices in the area of insurance law and commercial litigation in the St. Louis office. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law. Mr. Carnduff was a clerk at a law firm and a certified pharmacy technician before practicing law.

Ryan Fanning practices in the area of insurance law and toxic torts in the St. Louis office. He is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law. Mr. Fanning’s prior legal experience includes serving as a paralegal at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an attorney at Lexolution and LDiscovery, a law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, an intern for the Office of the Public Defender – City of Alexandria and for the Hon. John. M. Campbell, D.C. Superior Court: Tax and Probate Division.

Christopher Flanagan practices in the area of insurance law and commercial litigation in the Kansas City, Mo., office. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. His prior legal experience includes serving as an intern at the Audrain County Prosecutor’s Office, for the Hon. Matt J. Whitworth, and the City Counselor’s Office of St. Louis. He was also a Rule 13 Student Lawyer for Mid-Missouri Legal Services and a law clerk for the National Labor Relations Board.

Berkley Frost practices in the area of environmental litigation and toxic torts in the St. Louis office. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law. Her prior legal experience includes serving as an attorney and paralegal for a law firm, an intern at the SIU Juvenile Justice Clinic, and for the Hon. Matthew Headley, Putnam County Circuit Court Judge.

Nicci Gudmens practices in the areas of insurance law and commercial litigation in the Kansas City office. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, she is a past clerk for several law firms and an intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office Fraud & Corruption Unit.

Madison Johnston practices in the area of health care liability in the St. Louis office. A graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, her prior legal experience includes serving as a law clerk for the Hon. Shirley Mensah, an extern at Monsanto Company, and an intern for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Daniel Kelley practices in the areas of commercial litigation and employment law in the St. Louis office. He is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law. His prior legal experience includes serving as a clerk at a law firm and as an extern for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Prior to attending law school, he was an award-winning journalist for the Belleville News-Democrat.

Brianne Madden practices in the areas of insurance law, transportation, and premises liability in the St. Louis office. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. Her prior legal experience includes serving as a clerk for a law firm and as an intern at Gateway Legal Services and Prairie State Legal Services.

Christopher Miller practices in the areas of transportation, premises and retail liability, and product liability in the St. Louis office. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, he previously worked in-house as a legal analyst for Varsity Tutors. He also served as an intern at St. Louis Adult Drug Courts & Veterans Treatment Court.

Brittany Perry practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction, employment and health care in the St. Louis office. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, she was formerly a clerk at a law firm and an intern at the Christian County Prosecutor’s Office.

Christopher Saracino practices in the areas of insurance law, premises and retail liability, and product liability in the St. Louis office. A graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, his prior legal experience includes serving as a legal clerk for Emerson and a clerk at law firm. Before attending law school, he was a professional hockey player.

Jamie Tabrizi practices in the areas of arson and fraud and insurance law in the St. Louis office. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law, his prior legal experience includes serving as a law clerk at the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic and for Shelter Insurance Companies.

David Vaughn IV practices in the area of health care liability in the St. Louis office. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, he was previously a clerk for a law firm, an intern with the Missouri State Public Defender, and a research assistant at the University of Missouri.
