Brown & James Collects More than 40 Units of Blood

Brown & James, P.C. collected 42 usable units of blood during their annual drive held Friday, April 15 at their downtown St. Louis office. The firm annually sponsors the blood drive with St. John’s Mercy Health Care for downtown businesses to help contribute to the growing need for blood donation. All donated units stay in the greater St. Louis area at each of St. John’s Mercy’s regional medical centers.
One in three people will need blood donated at some point in their lives, according to St. John’s Mercy, who alone uses more than 1,100 units a month. This year’s drive marked more than 10 years Brown & James has been annually sponsoring the drive as part of the firm's community involvement.
