John P. Cunningham, principal and shareholder with Brown & James, P.C., has been recognized with a service award from the Illinois Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators for his continued service and dedication to the training of individuals seeking their Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) designation. The CFI program is a comprehensive, accredited process for identifying and recognizing a fire investigator’s expertise.

Mr. Cunningham practices in the firm’s Belleville, Ill., office and focuses on first party insurance claims and tort law, including arson and fraud litigation, premises liability, product liability and automobile litigation. He has spent numerous years donating his time and expertise to training individuals in classroom presentations and courtroom testimony, subjecting individuals to direct and cross examination concerning hypothetical fire investigations.
